 Abstract:  The Miers Casson Chapter of the National Society Children of the American Colonists was founded on June 17, 1939 in Salt Lake City to promote patriotic education and to perpetuate the names and histories of colonial men and women who served the Colonies before the Revolution. Membership was open to descendants of these colonists. The collection consists of minutes from the national, state and local societies, communications from the national society, treasurer's reports and membership rosters of the local chapter, correspondence, by-laws, and handbooks.

 Abstract:  The Ohio chapter of the Order of the Founders Patriots of America is the local chapter of a national patriotic society whose members must prove descent from a colonial ancestor who settled in the United States prior to 1657. The collection consists of histories, charters, constitutions, minutes, membership lists, reports, correspondence, records of the national society, and records of other societies. This collection is useful to those interested in the activities of the organization until 1960. The material also contains information on the general views held by the order and other patriotic societies.
